In our case, we put the time in during the early stages of our project to make sure what you want is what you get. That’s why we spend up to 16 weeks with you planning, designing, quoting and contracting your new home.

The term “custom lifestyle home” mean so much more here at qldBUILT than the title suggests. It underpins our ethos where we combine integrity with excellence, high quality workmanship, and innovation to deliver stunning custom homes.

Right from your initial inquiry, we dedicate ourselves finding out as much about your project as possible. Doing this allows us to truly understand your dreams and visions so we can begin to formulate a plan to deliver them.

In order to provide an exceptional building experience, we implement a unique yet efficient 5 Stage Building Process:

Collaboration starts from Stage 1 - the enquiry process. We’ll ask you to complete our detailed enquiry questionnaire and then we’ll meet you onsite to discuss your project vision. We then work with you to prepare a Project Brief and a Preliminary Agreement, based on what you have envisioned for your dream home.

At this stage, we introduce you to our Design Partners to discuss your initial Concept Designs and work towards providing you with a Cost Estimate for your new home.

What is a Cost Estimate?

A Cost Estimate predicts the quantity and cost of the resources (including labour and equipment) required for your project. In our case, the scope of the project is set out within our Project Brief, where we have mapped out the parameters for your home, from size to type of materials required.

Essentially, the Cost Estimate is the interpretation of everything that’s been discussed up until that point. After you have reviewed and approved your Cost Estimate, we move into the Detailed Design phase under a Preliminary Agreement.

In the Detailed Design phase, we map out your home design in detail, including; working drawings, specification of materials, standards, finishes and products, energy efficiency ratings and engineering certifications.

These detailed designs allow us to provide you with a Detailed Project Quote, which is an accurate figure that will be used within your building contract.

What is a Detailed Project Quote?

A Detailed Project Quote is a highly detailed document with cost breakdowns for each building component. At qldBUILT, we provide you with an itemised schedule of your project, based on the agreed Detailed Designs.

Our extensive industry experience means we are able to supply you with the best products and applications on the market, at the best possible price.

Do you provide a ‘template quote’?

We believe our established system of planning, estimating, then designing and quoting provides extremely accurate information that is directly related to your custom lifestyle home.

This system ensures we can provide both accuracy and transparency.

What is the cost per square metre of qldBUILT homes?

The term ‘cost per square metre’ is mostly used by project builders who offer off-the-plan homes. Project builders build the same home multiple times ,allowing them to off this figure as a selling point.

qldBUILT homes are designed from scratch in collaboration with our clients, meaning we cannot supply a cost per metre figure at the enquiry phase. The cost per square metre figure is relative to the custom home that you want. We do everything within our power to deliver your dream home within your budget, and in turn, for a great “cost per square metre’ price.

Each qldBUILT home is totally unique, including the cost per square metre figure.
