The Design Timeline Explained

In our past posts, we’ve explored the difference between a Project Home and a Custom Home. A Project Home is predesigned and sold as is, while a Custom Home is totally custom designed. When you work with us you'll be designing your dream home exactly how you want it.

To create your dream home, we work through a detailed Design Process.

Sounds complicated, right? Well, we’re happy to say - it's not!

As with everything we do, we've broken the process down into 7 easy-to-follow stages. And by the time we're finished Stage 7, we'll be ready to start construction on your new dream home.

Check it out.

Step One - The Design Meeting & Cost Planning

This could be one of the most exciting meetings you'll ever attend. We'll chat about your vision, discuss your ideas, look for inspiration and of course, confirm your budget.

Step Two - The Concept Design

Based on the Design Meeting, our team will put together a concept design that we will continue to refine until its just right.

Step Three - The Developed Designs

Using the concept designs we'll transform your vision into 3D renders and virtual tours of the interior and exterior areas.

Step Four - The Engineering Plans

At the same time, our project management team will commence work on your Engineering Plans to ensure every detail is considered and achievable.

Step Five - The Working Drawings

To scale working drawings give our team our team all of the information we need to start construction. These provide an extremely high level of detail and can be great for you to study prior to construction commencing.

Step Six - Your Detailed Cost Estimate

We then take all of the detail that is nested within your working drawings to provide a detailed cost estimate.

Step Seven - Your Project Specifications

A full list of the components, selections, fittings and fixtures that will be included in you new home.

All of the seven steps mentioned above are used to create your building contract, which we'll explain in detail next week.
